On November 5th, a group of bipartisan House members voted to pass the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill after months of negotiations. According to the news article, “House passes bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill after progressives drop opposition.”
“The bill, which provides funding for physical infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water pipes, and broadband internet, will now advance to President Biden’s desk for final approval. Senators already voted 69-30 to approve the legislation in August.”
Politics aside, this legislation provides some much-needed funding for vital infrastructure projects in North Carolina. This money will help repair our roads and bridges, relieve congestion, and create jobs for North Carolinians.
